Sesleria autumnalis is an evergreen perennial grass that reaches a height of 60 cm, forming a tidy cluster of coarse, linear leaves. In late summer, it produces a slender, loose, silvery-white panicle measuring up to 10 cm in length.
Cultivate this grass in a moderately fertile, moist, and well-drained soil. It does not thrive in acidic soil. Refer to ornamental grass cultivation guidelines for additional advice.
Ideal for cottage and informal gardens, low-maintenance landscapes, as well as flower borders and beds. To maintain its vitality, remove dead foliage and old flowered stems during the spring season.
