About our plants, bulbs and garden products

All plants that are labelled ‘Organic’ are either Soil Association certified or SKAL certified (Dutch organic control centre for organic products in the EU). Our organic seeds and flower bulbs are all 100% organic certified.

Plants labelled as ‘Eco-Friendly Grown’ are not yet certified organic, but in conversion to being organic certified. This means these plants are grown without using pesticides and with eco-friendly growing practices.

Our organic flower bulbs, seeds and Eco-friendly grown bare root perennials are grown in The Netherlands and the UK.

Our garden products are mostly handcrafted in the United Kingdom and otherwise manufactured in the EU. We aim to offer organic fabrics, non-toxic dying, natural and local materials as much as possible. Besides that we choose for products that did not have to travel too far and were manufactured in countries where wages are healthy.

Bare root perennials seem sometimes daunting, but are very easy to plant and ideal for pots, containers and small borders.

Read more about planting bare root perennials in our bare root planting guide.

We offer most of our perennials as bare roots.

Plant bare root perennials as soon as you received them. Don’t have time to plant them directly? No need to worry: store them in a dark and cool spot like a fridge. You can do this for a couple of weeks, but it is better to plant them as soon as possible.

And it is sustainable too!

We need less space while transporting the plants and on top of that a lot less plastic planting pots and potting compost are used.
