About our Organically & ECO grown plants, seeds and bulbs

All plants, seeds and bulbs that are labelled ‘Organic’ are either Soil Association certified or SKAL certified (Dutch organic control centre for organic products in the EU).

Plants labelled as ‘ECO or Eco-Friendly Grown’ are not yet certified organic, but using organic practices or in conversion to being organic certified. This means these plants are grown while using natural pesticides and fertilizers and eco-friendly growing practices.

Bare root perennials seem sometimes daunting, but are very easy to plant and ideal for pots, containers and small borders.

Read more about planting bare root perennials in our bare root planting guide.

We offer most of our perennials as bare roots.

Plant bare root perennials as soon as you received them. Don’t have time to plant them directly? No need to worry: store them in a dark and cool spot like a fridge. You can do this for a couple of weeks, but it is better to plant them as soon as possible.

And it is sustainable too!

We need less space while transporting the plants and on top of that a lot less plastic planting pots and potting compost are used.
