But there’s a catch: when growing your crop using pots and trays, you need to water them more often, which can be messy, as well as having to deal with them on a more regular basis, which can be tiring. When sowing seeds, there are various types of containers that you can choose from.
The type and size of the tray you use will depend on how much you are growing, and the size of your seeds. Pots give your plants protection from the elements, but pots may dry out more quickly, and the soil can never replicate the warmth of the soil in a tray.
With our range, you can choose the pots or trays according to exactly what seeds you are sowing. Our pots and trays can also be used for seed starting, which means “starting” seeds indoors before planting them outdoors.
Using the soil from your garden, you fill the pot or tray up and then plant seeds in a thin layer. After a week or so, you can transplant the seedlings into their final pot, or tray (depending on what they are), and then finally into your garden, as they begin to grow.
Pots and trays are used to grow seedlings of flowering plants, vegetables, and other plants.
