Perfect for a low-maintenance garden, Sanguisorba ‘Midnight Child’ is a stunning bee-friendly perennial for beds, borders, prairie plantings and meadows. Tall, slender stems with dark green toothed leaves bear dark maroon ‘drumstick’ flowerheads from July to September. Midnight Child blooms earlier than most Greater Burnet varieties and looks lovely planted with asters and echinacea.
Plant in a sunny or partly shaded spot with reliable moisture levels. It grows to around 1.2 metres and may require support.
