This long-flowering Mediterranean native loves hot, dry conditions and is the perfect addition to a rockery, gravel garden or pot. Masses of pale pink flowers bloom from July to September, and if you cut it back after flowering, it will often produce a second flush.
Like all soapworts, Saponaria Sicula Intermedia thrives in well-drained soil in full sun. It grows to around 25 cm, so it looks lovely at the front of a border, planted with other low-growing perennials such as Campanula and Nepeta.
