Give your immunity a boost by adding Echinacea, commonly known as Coneflower, to your herb collection. Organic Echinacea as a herb is well known for its medicinal purposes. The 100% organically grown herb has bright pink flowers and also attracts bees, aiding in the pollination of other bushes and herbs in your compound.
The Echinacea seeds we offer are 100% certified organically grown without the use of harmful pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
Care tips
Plant will start flowering in second year after sowing. Sow the organic herb in moist, well-drained soil. It is best grown outside from May to September, but can be grown from February in a greenhouse. Make sure to break the seed dormancy by putting them in the fridge for about 2 to 4 weeks. After that sow them and cover lightly with soil. They will germinate within approximately 14 days.
Grow Echinacea purpurea in sunny areas with well-draining soil. Remove fading flowers to promote additional blooming, while allowing seedheads to remain in autumn for bird attraction. Trim the plants in the ensuing spring when fresh foliage appears.
Apply a layer of well-rotted manure or compost as mulch for Echinaceas during the fall season. Lift crowded clumps either in autumn or spring.
Echinacea is drought tolerant once established.
