Approx. 200 organic vegetable seeds per gardener’s packet
Grow our 100% pesticide-free Organic Beetroot, Bulls Blood, for its beautiful, deep crimson baby salad leaves. You can also use the root, but after you’ve picked several harvests of salad leaves, it tends to become tough and woody.
Growing instructions:
Sow seed March-July, 2 centimetres apart, in drills 30 centimetres apart. Thin seedlings to 8 – 10 centimetres apart. Make successive sowings for a succession of sweet, tasty baby salad leaves throughout the season.
Cooking:
Enjoy Beetroot, Bull’s Blood leaves with a honey and orange dressing, either on their own or mixed with other salad leaves. They look especially pretty when combined with edible flowers such as dianthus and violas.
