100% Organically grown Dwarf Mulberry ‘Mojo Berry®’ is a compact, fruit-bearing tree that produces an abundance of delicious, sweet mulberries throughout the growing season. Unlike traditional mulberry trees that can grow quite large, ‘Mojo Berry®’ is a dwarf variety that will grow to a maximum height of 1.50 metre, ideal for smaller gardens, patios, or even container growing. It is loved for its long fruiting period, providing fresh mulberries from late spring through to autumn. The berries are perfect for fresh eating, smoothies, baking, or making jams and preserves.

Growing Mulberry ‘Mojo Berry®’ in the UK is straightforward, as it is both hardy and resilient, thriving in the British climate. It prefers a sunny, sheltered location for the best fruit production but can tolerate partial shade. This dwarf mulberry adapts well to a variety of soil types, as long as the soil is well-draining and rich in organic matter. Adding compost or well-rotted manure before planting will improve soil fertility and support healthy growth.

Plant ‘Mojo Berry®’ in early spring or autumn. Its compact size, typically reaching around 1.5-2 meters in height, makes it perfect for small spaces or container planting. Ensure the plant has good airflow by spacing it away from other shrubs or trees. Regular watering is essential, particularly during dry periods or while the plant establishes itself. Mulching around the base will help retain moisture and prevent weed growth.

This variety fruits on both new and old wood, meaning it produces mulberries consistently over a longer period. The first berries typically appear in late spring, and the tree continues to bear fruit through to autumn. The dark, juicy mulberries are ready to harvest when they turn a deep, almost black colour and can be easily pulled from the branches. The tree is self-fertile, so you don’t need multiple plants to enjoy a bountiful harvest.

Pruning is generally minimal, but you can lightly trim the plant in late winter to maintain its shape and encourage new growth for the next season. With its compact size and generous fruiting habits, Mulberry ‘Mojo Berry®’ is a fantastic addition to organic gardens of any size, providing tasty, homegrown mulberries for months.
