Fruiting Vegetables
Fruiting crops are a group of plants that participate in crop rotation – a method of cultivation in the kitchen garden. Fruiting crops generally need more potassium, especially non-native species such as cucumber or tomato. Courgette, corn and pumpkins are especially fun and easy to grow. Ideal for beginners but also for experienced vegetable gardeners they are a real treat.
Mediterranean plants such as tomatoes, peppers and aubergines prefer to grow in a greenhouse, as they love heat. The climate in the UK might make them shivering and it often happens that plants outside in the open ground produce little harvest.
