Our 100% pesticide-free Organic Tomato, Principe Borghese, is an Italian heirloom plum tomato with a high yield of egg-sized fruits. Principe Borghese has a piquant flavour that is retained well after cooking, so it’s perfect for bottling and drying.

Growing instructions:
Sow January – March. Pot up seedlings and transplant in April- May, depending on whether you are planting in a greenhouse or outdoors. Feed regularly with organic liquid tomato feed and water well. There’s no need to pinch out the side shoots of this bush variety—harvest June-October.

Cooking:
Slice and serve in salads or blend with garlic and coriander for salsa. Essential in ratatouille, and delicious in tarts, quiches and chutneys. Tomatoes freeze very well as passata or puree.
