Special note: Companion planting sunflowers with chives will help deter aphids.
Growing tips: Sow April to May outside or earlier in a greenhouse. Plant out 30cm apart when the first true leaves appear. Flowers July – September. Leave some seedheads on the plants for birds to enjoy.
Cooking: Toast the seed kernels for a tasty snack.
