This mid-height sunflower blooms in shades of deep velvety red, copper and bronze and is fabulous as a cut flower, lasting a week or more in water. Our bee-friendly seeds are 100% pesticide-free and organically grown in the UK.
Special note: Companion planting sunflowers with chives will help deter aphids.
Growing tips: Sow April to May outside or earlier in a greenhouse. Plant out 30cm apart when the first true leaves appear. Flowers July – September. Leave some seedheads on the plants for birds to enjoy.
Cooking: Toast the seed kernels for a tasty snack.
