Organic Chard Rhubarb is a beautiful variety which brings colour to your garden with delicious red-green leaves and bright red stems and ribs. Our Rhubarb Chard bee-friendly seeds are organically grown in the UK and 100% pesticide-free – and chard is packed with minerals and vitamins A, C and K, so it’s really good for us.
Special note: Organic Chard Rhubarb does not tolerate highly acidic soil, so you may need to add lime to the veg patch.
Growing tips: Sow from March to August in 1cm drills allowing 30 cm between rows.
Thin seedlings to 20cm apart.
Cooking: Use baby leaves in salad and cook larger ones as spinach. Remove the central rib if you prefer. Delicious in quiches, pies, and curries.
