Organic Spring Onion Parade is a beautiful salad onion with upright, bright-green stems and white roots. Salad onions are less prone to pests and diseases than onions in general as they are quick to grow and spend less time in the ground. Onion Parade has a mild flavour and is rich in vitamins A and C – eat raw for the maximum health benefits.
Growing instructions:
Sow Organic Spring Onion Parade seeds thinly in shallow drills 25 centimetres apart, every three weeks February – July.
Cooking:
Cut off the root, trim the tops and outer leaves, then chop or slice. Delicious in salads or to accompany a dip. Salad onions are also fantastic as a garnish for Thai curry and other Asian dishes.
