Organic Lettuce Oak Leaf Red produces gorgeous, billowing heads of dark-red, oak leaf foliage fading to a pale green centre. This organic lettuce salad bowl provides a generous supply of tasty leaves for continuous picking.
Growing instructions:
You can sow Organic Lettuce Oak Leaf Red all year round. Start indoors in modules or sow outside in shallow drills from March onwards. Keep well-watered. Hot weather increases the risk of “bolting” and going to seed.
Cooking:
Wash leaves and dry in a salad spinner before serving as a salad, on their own or mixed with other salad leaves such as rocket. Also delicious in wraps, burger buns and the classic BLT.
