Organic Kale Westland Winter, produces an abundance of curled, blue-green leaves with a sweet flavour. Harvest from October to March. Westland Winter kale can remain on the plot all winter and tastes even sweeter after frost.

Growing instructions:
Sow in drills April – May – there’s no need to thin seedlings. Transplant in July 45 centimetres apart. Keep well watered. Harvest single leaves or the main head October-February. They will then produce side shoots.

Cooking:
Enjoy young Organic Kale Westland Winter leaves raw in salads. Steam until tender or shred and stirfry. Use as an alternative to spinach to stuff pancakes and cannelloni.
