Organic Green Manure Red Clover is a member of the pea/bean family and fixes nitrogen in the soil, while its extensive roots improve the soil structure. Our bee-friendly seeds are 100% pesticide-free and are organically grown in the UK, so they’re an excellent option for a natural garden or wildflower meadow.
Special note: Leave some red clover plants to flower – bees love them!
Growing tips: Sow Organic Green Manure Red Clover in April – August. Rake to create a fine tilth, then scatter the seed evenly and rake in. Water in dry weather. You can cut the leaves for composting in autumn and leave the plants to overwinter before digging them when you need the patch in spring.
