Phacelia is widely grown as a green manure – the lacy leaves suppress weeds while the roots aerate the soil. Besides that our bee-friendly Phacelia seeds will give your vegetable patch a gorgeous look. The seeds are 100% pesticide-free and organically grown in the UK, so will be safe for pollinators.

Special note: Leave some plants at the edge of your patch to flower, as bees love the delicate purple blossoms.

Growing tips: Sow March – September on a recently harvested patch. Remove weeds and rake to create a fine tilth, scatter seed evenly, then rake in lightly. Water seedlings in dry weather. Dig up or mulch in six to eight weeks after sowing.
