Fennel is a common wild herb in Mediterranean countries. The perennial herb has a light, liquorice taste that goes well with curry, gourmets and pastries. In addition, it produces yellow flowers that attract bees and butterflies to your garden, making it attractive and enabling pollination of other plants.
The herb is organically grown in the UK and grows best on warm, moist soils. You can sow fennel organic herb seeds in your garden between April and June. Plant the seeds by scattering them and covering them with light soil. Water the shoots if the soil gets dry.
Our 100% pesticide-free fennel is not affected by most insects, except aphids, which you can spray off with just water. Consider thinning the herb to about 30 cm between plants for better growth. You can harvest leaves during the spring and summer.
