This selection by Christian Kress has received two stars in the German judging, which is quite good. This dainty Sanguisorba ‘Scapino’ is praised for its rich flowering of dark purple-red, slightly overhanging spikes that can be seen from afar. Despite their slight overhanging, the firmness of the stems is excellent and the fine leaves remain a nice, fresh green even in dry conditions. This Sanguisorba makes an excellent cut flower and is grown eco-friendly without using pesticides.
