Crimson Clover is particularly helpful for sandy soil, fixing nitrogen and helping to retain moisture while attracting pollinators. You can overwinter Crimson Clover in milder parts of the country.

Special note: Let some plants flower; bees love the rich red blooms.

Growing tips: Sow to cover bare ground in your garden March – June or in August to overwinter. Rake over the patch and remove any weeds. Scatter seed evenly, rake in and water well. Dig in when you need the patch for planting.
