The brilliant orange flowers of Organic Tithonia, Rotundifolia or Mexican sunflower bring a touch of drama to the garden in late summer and autumn. Growing to 6’ tall, Tithonia looks terrific at the back of the border, especially when combined with dark-leaved dahlias. Our Organic Tithonia Rotundifolia seeds are 100% pesticide-free and are perfect for attracting pollinators to your garden.
Growing instructions:
Sow Tithonia seeds in March and April under cover at 18 degrees C. Prick out seedlings in trays 5 centimetres apart and grow on in cold frames. Plant out in May, 20 centimetres apart. After digging plenty of compost or rotted farmyard manure into the site. Tithonia plants may require staking. Flowers August – October.
