Create a spectacular effect with the dinner-plate-sized flowers of our gorgeous Organic Dahlia, Kiev. Bees and butterflies love the giant, ivory-white blooms that flush to a soft pastel pink as they open fully, and they’re brilliant as cut flowers. And the more you pick, the more blooms the plant produces. Flowers July- October.
Growing instructions:
Start indoors in pots in March or plant the tubers in full sun in the garden in May. After the foliage has died down in the autumn, lift the tubers and store them over winter. Replant in spring. In temperate areas, you can leave dahlias in the ground. Remove the dead stems and leaves, cover with a thick mulch to protect from frost, and they will grow again in spring.
