Royal Sussex Traditional Garden Trug

A beautiful artisan-made trug for carrying garden produce and flowers safely from the garden to the kitchen! Royal Sussex trugs are handmade in Sussex from sweet chestnut wood, which is steamed to make it pliable and then bent to make the rim and handle. Every trug is stamped and signed by the craftsman who made it.

Trugs became popular in the 19th century when Queen Victoria awarded the company a Royal Warrant, hence “Royal Sussex”. A Sussex garden trug is made to last, using local materials and sustainable techniques, and is a lovely gift for any gardener.
