Allium Sphaerocephalon is one of the later flowering organic flower bulbs and provides a drift of rich blackcurrant purple in late spring to early summer. Mix with organic daffodils, organic narcissus and organic tulips such as “Pink Impression” for a pageant of spring colour.
This striking drumstick allium looks fabulous planted in a gravel garden or border, especially where the flowers and seedheads catch the afternoon and evening sunlight. Allium Sphaerocephalon self-seeds and will spread readily, so it’s perfect for wild gardens.
