Organic Spinach Giant Winter is 100% pesticide free and it is a hardy variety you can pick right through the winter. The large, pointed, dark green leaves have a superb flavour and are rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, and iron.
Growing instructions:
Sow June-September in drills and thin seedlings to 25cm apart: plant the thinnings in additional rows. Protect from the worst winter weather with a cloche. Harvest October – January.
Cooking:
Wash the leaves well. Shake off water and use them raw in green smoothies. To cook them, don’t add any extra water but cook gently for just a few minutes until wilted. Delicious in Saag Aloo and in Eggs Florentine.
